Renew Australia is a national social enterprise who work with communities and property owners to take otherwise empty spaces and make them available to incubate short term use by artists, creative projects and community initiatives.
Renew Australia are currently working with Working Heritage. Working Heritage are responsible for the conservation and management of some of Victoria’s heritage buildings, including the Warracknabeal Court House.
Working Heritage have tasked Renew Australia to run a small scoping project on the viability of opening the Warracknabeal Court House for creative use by the local community – rent free.
Tey are seeking expression of interest to attract local creative entrepreneurs, makers, social entrepreneurs and community groups to bring their projects and ideas that will activate the historic Court House for both short and long term activation.
Renew Australia are looking for new creative and community projects to present to Working Heritage for consideration.
Selected participants will be given temporary rent free access to the spaces, made available thanks to Working Heritage.
You could be part of a growing creative movement to promote local economic, cultural and community development, the arts and creative industries across Australia and be part of the renewal of a remarkable heritage place.
