What is on offer?

Introduction to Pastels with Helen Leach

Helen will start the day with a group activity. This is always fun for all, with a few surprises, and allows participants to relax and get to know each other. The result generally amazes the group!

After lunch students will focus on their individual work. Helen will provide subject matter for the afternoon exercise, but anyone with their own preferred subject items can bring them. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, and everyone can stop for a coffee at any time, proceeding at their own pace.

Saturday 15th July  10am – 3pm    Cost $75.

Collagraph Printmaking with Peta Adamson
An approach to experimental printmaking which involves adding layers of various materials to the surface of a plate.
Layers of PVA glue, papers, natural plant materials, cloth and string are used to make marks & textured surfaces. These plates are then printed & hand coloured with acrylic paints to produce unique contemporary artworks.

Saturday 22nd July and Sunday 23rd July Cost $150.

Short Row Knitting  with Gill Venn

Short rows are used to create triangles or wedges within your knitting, a row that you don’t knit to the end of the needle. Instead, you work part of the way across the row, do something called a “wrap and turn”, and then work back the other way, sometimes to the end and sometimes to another wrap and turn. Great for wraps, hats and shaping in garments.

Saturday 29th July 10am – 3pm       Cost $75
