Goat Gallery – Information for Exhibitors

The Goat Gallery presents a public program of exhibitions, workshops and artist residencies that showcase contemporary art, craft, design and performance. It is an artist run initiative (ARI) under the auspice of ACTNatimuk. The venue is privately owned.

The Goast Gallery aims to showcase and support groups and individuals to professionally present contemporary art, craft, design and performance programs that will enhance community engagement, encourage new work and collaborations and increase access to high quality art programs for people living in the Wimmera.

The Space

The Goat Gallery was built to provide a permanent exhibition space for Natimuk’s (and now the Wimmera’s and broader) many talented artists. It is a lovely open room with excellent natural light during the day and high quality exhibition grade lights.

It is approximately 7msq. The front of the gallery is a street front window, so there are 3 walls for hanging. The rear wall has a door in the middle. One wall is red brick with a mounted horizontal white panel approximately 150cm wide. The panel can be removed, leaving the bricks exposed. The other walls are white. We also have 6 black plinths of different sizes.
